What is a launch directory?
A launch directory is a website that lists new products — similar to a curated catalog. Submitting your product gets you a public listing, referral traffic, and often a backlink that can help search engines discover your site.
Why should I launch my product to launch directories?
Directory launches help people find your product through Google, ChatGPT, and niche communities. Each listing can bring referral traffic and backlinks that strengthen your domain authority over time — especially when you focus on free, high-quality directories.
What software products are supported?
LaunchBert is built for software products that are live, publicly accessible, and have a website directories can link to. That includes SaaS, websites, browser extensions, mobile apps, developer tools, AI products, and similar digital tools. Waiting lists, beta or test versions, and products that are not yet available are not supported.
What products are not allowed?
Some product categories cannot be launched with LaunchBert, including illegal goods, adult content, unlicensed gambling, scams, malware, and similar offerings. See the full list in our Terms of Service.
What is domain rating?
Domain Rating (DR) is an Ahrefs metric that estimates how strong a website's backlink profile is, on a scale from 0 to 100. A stronger backlink profile generally helps search engines and AI models trust and surface your site. LaunchBert shows DR for directories and for your product site so you can prioritize higher-authority launches and track progress.
How long does it take to increase visibility?
It takes some time to see your domain rating climb. Directory launches are not always approved or published immediately, and search engines need time to discover and crawl the new backlinks. Keep launching consistently — progress usually shows up gradually over weeks as listings go live and links get indexed.
What are dofollow and nofollow backlinks?
A dofollow backlink tells search engines to treat the link as a normal endorsement and can pass ranking value. A nofollow backlink asks crawlers not to pass that value, though it can still drive traffic. Every product launched with LaunchBert gets a dofollow backlink on its product page.
Does LaunchBert create accounts for me?
No. LaunchBert does not create accounts on launch directories for you. You still sign up on each directory yourself. The Chrome extension helps you fill forms faster with your product details once you are logged in.
Do images get auto-filled?
Yes. Add a logo URL and up to five screenshot or marketing image URLs to your product, and the Chrome extension will use them to fill supported logo and image fields. LaunchBert stores only the URLs, not the image files. Some custom upload widgets may still require you to add the image manually.
Are all directories free to use?
Yes. LaunchBert only lists free launch directories that we have curated. There are no paid directory submissions in our list.
Do I need an account?
You need an account to access launch directories, add your product, and start launching. You can browse products already launched for free on the launches page.
How does the badges integration work?
Some directories require a badge on your site before they approve your listing. LaunchBert provides a server-rendered HTML embed — no JavaScript, with crawler-friendly dofollow backlinks. You choose which directories appear from your dashboard. Learn more about badges.
